African American children in North Minneapolis are our city’s children and our promise for a brighter future. You have the power to influence their trajectory with an investment in Liberty’s Healing Enterprise. Our goal is to raise $12M through the Our Children, Our Promise Campaign over 5 years to sustain our impact.

Together, we can build a community where birth parents have the knowledge and resources for a healthy pregnancy and delivery, every newborn is supported to grow and reach their full potential, and every young adult is ready for college, career, and life success.

Love in Action Giving Community

To secure sustainable resources for the Liberty Healing Enterprise, we are establishing a giving community to connect individuals who give to Liberty. This Love in Action Giving Community will continue throughout our Comprehensive Campaign. We will create opportunities for generous giving to be paired with meaningful community.

What it means to be in the Love in Action Giving Community?

We hope to build a broad and sustainable community of givers over time to truly create sustainable resources for the Liberty Healing Enterprise. Any individual donor who provides a gift or multi-year pledge is invited join this community of givers. We know that a $100 donation for one person is as generous as a $10,000 gift from another. We honor and have deep appreciation for all levels of giving. This is the Liberty way. We will promote future gatherings to any donors to Liberty with a heartfelt invitation to join.

This campaign is generously supported by volunteers and partners, including Liberty members along with ambassadors who are giving their time, talents and connections to resources.

Launch and Sustain HomePlace

$1.5M per year will provide supports to an estimated 75 birthing families annually, including:

  • A healing team that will walk with birthing families.
  • Communal activities for learning and connection.
  • Education and engagement for fathers to encourage their role as the first line of support for birthing mothers.
  • Financial coaching and monthly stipends for birthing parents experiencing economic hardship.
  • Collaboration and evaluation for sharing learnings to create better systems.

21st Century Academy scholar walk

Strengthen and Sustain 21st Century Academy

$1.1M per year will sustain its operations and:

  • Add academic and healing supports to strengthen impact.
  • Deeper parent engagement to bolster children’s education and healthy growth.
  • Increase salaries and expand benefits to market rate.
  • Boost capacity to evaluate our efforts.
