Reverend Dr. Ralph E. Galloway is co-pastor of Liberty Community Church and a native of North Minneapolis, Minnesota. Rev. Galloway graduated in 1976 from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He completed a Master of Divinity in 1979 from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and is certified in Marriage and Family Counseling. In 1990, he received his Doctorate from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia, with an emphasis in Community Organizing. Rev. Galloway leads Liberty’s Christian Education, Evangelism and Administration, and Men’s Ministry. Pastor Galloway is an effective and dynamic communicator, and widely known for helping people apply scripture lessons to their everyday lives. Previously, Rev. Galloway served as Executive Director of Hospitality House Boys and Girls Clubs, Inc. in Minneapolis, Associate Pastor of Zion Baptist Church, also in Minneapolis, a Community Organizer at the Urban Training Organization of Atlanta, Inc. and the Pastor of Calvary Presbyterian Church USA in Wilson, North Carolina.
Reverend Dr. Alika P. Galloway is co-pastor at Liberty Community Church, PCUSA, creative visionary and co-founder of the Northside Healing Space, and founder of the 21st Century Academy. Nationally known as a Womanist Scholar and expert in health disparities impacting African American females, she earned a Master of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia, in Womanist Ethics and World Religions. She received a Doctorate from Virginia Union University. Her dissertation addressed the care of African American women and girls who are victims of sexual violence and the commercial sex trade. Rev. Galloway is the editor of the book: Living Waters, Living Stories and a nationally known storyteller, movement maker, and 2013 Bush Fellow. She is dedicated to living by example and encouraging men and women to live up to their full potential in Christ, encouraging others with her natural warmth, deep faith and strength. Rev. Galloway leads the deacon board, the worship team and women’s ministries.
The Galloway’s have been married for over 40 years and are the proud parents of three children, grandparents of twelve, and great-grandparents of one.
